my ps2 is not reading the cd

Hi friends , my ps2 is not reading the game cd . I thought it was because the lens was dirty . So i opened it and cleaned the lens still it is not reading . please suggest. should i change its lens ? if so how much will its lens cost where can i get it?
Did u c de CD first??? Its cud b tht de CD is bad and ur ps2 is fine... Try loading another one and c if de same problem is poppin up again? If not, head straight 2 Al Saad st. and just opp. Turkey Centeral (across de st.) der is a shop tht does repair works on PS.
It's not a lens, it's a laser diode. When the cover is opened the PS2 has a high hazard category because of the potential damage to your eyesight from an active laser.
If the unit is damaged have it repaired by someone who knows what they're doing. Otherwise enter the browser and wait for it to offer the game cd as a browseable option, select it and you should be good to go.
Is this for one cd only or all of them? Check the cd is clean and scratch free. It could be the disk is so damaged the PS2 can't read the index track.
