Not everyone is a bad employer. I've got happy employees at my house.

When you say housekeeper, do you mean housemaid? If so, DO NOT come to the middle east to be a maid for a family!

Just do a search on Google with the following keywords to read the horror stories: housemaid abuse middle east

i have to weigh things because i also have an offer in Dubai as a housekeeper. free accomodation, free shuttle also, free uniform, the salary will be PHP 15,000+ only plus a tip + service charge divided into groups but that is for november 2008.

while this secretary thing is this september.

what concerns me is how much money can i take home back in the phils after the end of contract.

i have no problem with the accomodation if it is sharing as long as i have my own bed that i can sleep.

when you said sharing is it sharing in a bed or in a room? and how many are we? thanks. sorry for lots of questions.

i was offered to be secretary in a high end fine dining restaurant. i am a filipina first time to work abroad if all these asking will turn to have a positive answers. that's why i want to check if the offer is good.

they offer me $480 free accomodation (no idea how good the accomodation will be) free shuttle work to home and vice versa. and a food allowance i do not know how much exactly. QR350 i think a month not so sure because it was not discuss only the basic $480.
