keep watch of HABIB INTL. SOUQ ASIRI
This is for everybody concerned but most esp to Filipinos out there who send remittances to the Philippines...
i came to discover that Habib, though they will tell you the current exchange rate of Peso to a $ is, FOR EXAMPLE, Ph45.10 to a $, the exchange rate of QRiyal to a $ is 3.67 and not less, not 3.65, not 3.645 which is the prevailing buying and selling... so you loss something and you loss a lot if you send a higher amount like in thousand riyals...
if you check your receipts, you will notice that they dont put anymore the $ conversion unlike in the previous years. what you will see is a direct conversion to Philippine peso. with simple math and calculation, you will discover that the $-Peso conversion becomes lower. like in the example above, $-Peso becomes like Ph44.8 instead of Ph45.10, and that $-QR become 3.67...
i want to share this to all concerned because maybe this is not only me who experienced this. and not only to my kabayans but also to others who transact with them. Or this may also be true in other remittance centers.
let's be more watchful because the money we are sending are hard-earned money.
salamat
thanks for the info...
