Mauritius ideal holiday location.

Most people in this part of the world that I have met or spoken to often go on holiday to Malaysia, Bali, Turkey etc or many just go back home to their homelands year in year out. Many however have, either not heard of the beautiful island of Mauritius. Situated on the south east coast of Africa,in the Indian ocean, next to madagascar, Mauritius is an Ideal holiday location. I just recently went there after 15 years and had a great time. The sites are absolutely magic.Although I went there in my childhood and for a short while 15 years back but I never realised it was so beautiful. I have loads of pictures that I took myself that I would like to share but I need to know how to post pictures on here.Just recently , while I was there the Qatari government sign a deal with mauritius to remove all Taxes on Imports and exports between the two countries. Does that mean more and more qataris will learn of the beautiful Island of mauritius.
Can some one help me post some of the beautiful pics. so we can share the beauty of Mauritius

I also forgot mention that when it comes to ecotourism i think Mauritius has it worked out. You find a place like casela which is a park linked to Yemen safari and in Casel you can actually interact with animals, you can feed the deer, ostrichs and also there is an activity for those who have the heart, "walking with lions," real ones too.I only went for the viewing not walking. The photosafri is about 2 hrs where you come very cloese to zebras, deer, mountain goats, mountain cows, ostriches and many other animals.

You also have an aquarium there with sharks and loads od other fish in there. It is great.

I was surprised to find great safari parks and waterfals and lovely beaches that gives mauritius the reputation it has.We went to a safari ther called Yemen safari park actually, in the mountains with all the wildlife and so on.They have a submarine too there that take you under water around the country and Glass bottom boats and so on.I think another plus it the dolphins, if you are a swimmer they take you swimming with the dolphins and there is scuba diving too.It is just great. They have a place called vanilla Park where they bred Crocodiles and Also have massive Tortoises , my kids rode on their back I mean that is how big they are.

Emirates does Doha Dubai/ Dubai Mauritius.

The ticket i think has gone up to Qr 5000 or something by now I paid about 4200 at the beginning of the year I bought my ticket way in advance and after that prices went up twice.

as for Loding and all that I did not pay much since I have friends who own Bungalows and rent cars so it was good affordable holiday

Mauritius is indeed one of the best Beach destination in the world.but nothing more than that.

Planning aTour always work out destinations which is giving you more .. and you have many other options which will give bonus sights/activities/attractions.

Take Tanzania/ Zanzibar combination OR Take Kenya alone.. huh .. you have beaches which can stand with mauritius in Zanzibar and mombasa (Kenya) with world class beach resorts PLUS the exciting GAME parks which isa once in life time or Golden experience. where you will be livibng inside the JUngle in a star rated ethnically designed property , at times a Tent. in the midst of the wild. and will be seeing all the wild animals in hand distnace which is guaranteed.

cheers
