Laptop/Desk top Purchasing, which is better option - India or Qatar

You buy a QAR 1,999 worth of ACER Intel Celeron 2.0GHz laptop in Doha, and let me upgrade the RAM from 512 to 2GB. IM VERY SURE, THIS WILL PERFORM MUCH BETTER THAN ANY BRAND OF LAPTOP COSTING QAR 4000 UP CORE DUO WITH 1GB..

AS AN EXPERT, I SHOULD SAY THAT THE PERFORMANCE OF ANY COMPUTER DOESNT DEPEND ON THE BRAND.. E.G. DELL, MAC.. BUT RATHER ON THE SPECS E.G. PROCESSOR = INTEL, CLOK PULSE RATE, SAY 2.6GHZ, HDD RPM SAY 7200 SATA; RAM = 2GB OR HIGHER; AND IF YOU WILL USE IT FOR GRAPHICS OR GAMES, HAVE A HIGHER VIDEO RAM.

For a gamer, it is always better to have a PC as the hardware recommended for Graphics and power is better on more heat hungry procs and etc...Secondly the battery is the limitation in terms of charge n discharge and in terms of power being optimized for battery saving.

If i am a gamer, i go for XPS 710 series from Dell it is a Hummer 1 as we call it or custom design a system with AMD proc....u save lot of money and controll the performance....

Notebook not suggested in Gaming enviorment, though the trade off is portability but faced lots of limitation on NBs.....

I suggest as an IT Professional,Buy a Macbook Pro or Macbook.install Windows in it using BootCamp...there you go a massive Gaming machine with No Hazzels and Headace...

Am using Imac 2.16 santa rosa with 4GB Ram...you dont belive i run 3-4 Virtual Machine at a time..without any issues...

Dude dont go for Dell,HP,Toshiba kind stuff...they all bhkawaaaas...Mac is Mac....No Matter if its Intel Inside they architecture you cant beat....

No need for 6000 QR, with 4000 QR you will get a high end laptop. Also laptop may be a better option than desktop. Any renowned company, not just DELL, will do

That was a good answer. Being that the response came from an ex Dell employee, could you also give me your opinion on the best BRAND to look for in Qatar? Is Dell the best way to go? I primarily use my laptop for gaming and online work, so high graphics and speed is a must.

Any suggestions and help are VERY much appreciated.
