Friends, friends and more friends
Hi all
I may end up working in Qatar soon and decided to put some feelers out for friends. I must admit that some of the posts lamenting the lack of nightlife and friends has seriously got me thinking that it is not such a good idea and that I should stay in Sout Afria.
What do u guys think?

I had a look at some of the posts, did some research on the net and reached one conclusion... Qatar IS DEFINITELY NOT THE PLACE TO GO TO if you are looking for fun. Unless I can afford to travel to Dubai on weekends (travel & accomodation), life will be a real pain, especially if you are in a foreign country for an extended period of time...
don't depend on all posts, people relationships differ according to their personalities, for me qatar is a wonderful place and I wish to stay here for ever
well I Dont really want to get into the whole psyche of these fleas, but Freud would have a field day. They must have some extreme death wish making their home on your rotten self :P

Inially friends... from friends female company will come
its hard not to when they are jumping all about and everywhere.
I do believe they have shampoos that can take care of the problem

it depends, hard to generalize though, but most people i met are approachable and friendly...but you can't really take away the fact that there will be some rotten tomatoes out there...
With friendship I generally am not choosy. Female company, now that is a different story .. lol
it doesn't matter where you are, if you can find fun from simple things boredom is never a problem...friends? easy to get one as long as you are not that choosy...hehehe

people here seem to have a good social life if they make the effort :)
