Do you think its a good idea

This was a heated discussion in another forum I'm in. Would you show your kids or other family members graphic accident photos, specially ones caused by speeding. Of course, it depends on the age...definitely not for those younger than 15. This came up after people started showing their kids photos of a beautiful teenage girl (Nikki something) who died in a car accident. She was speeding. But they were very graphic.

I think this is a good idea, because they would think twice before speeding & also, teenagers respond better with visual aid. Thought I'll get the viewpoint of those living in the country with one of the highest accident rates.

this is a tough one..but i guess kids nowadays are really smart...and i think they can handle seeing graphical pictures just like in the movies..but on the other hand it's a bit risky for them..it might lead them to trauma or something...

You're so right. Kids are too used to seeing SFX in movies .. not sure that images help them to grasp the sense that this could be them. Teenagers not renowned for empathy either.

Can't hurt though I suppose. I watched an horrendous youtube clip of a biker being run over by lorry the other day and it terrified me so much that i refused to go out with my brother on his...

(I have the mind of a teenager i think- especially as I STILL light up out of shock after watching anti smoking campaign thingies) :0
