Residency problem ..... PLEASE READ
Our Mandoop went to Immigration today to renew the Residency Permits for my wife and for our housemaid. My wife's permit was issued in an hour, and they refused to renew the housemaid's permit. The Mandoop says that he was told Filipinas are only allowed 3 years in the country then they have to leave. I called the Phillippines Embassy and they said this is rubbish. Anybody else had a similar experience? This country is really beginning to pi55 me off big time.
Indorachel is absolutely spot on .... our HR is about as much use as an underwater hair drier.
One of our Qatari staff is working on it; he thinks there will be no problem.
This country is going backwards .... wodafakinliberty!

First time immigration will provide 2-3 years only for housemail, for next time renewal for housemaid, make the application and get the sign from the captain, he can only enable the area to choose for RP renew..Once captain signed,,you can renew for 2 years / 3years...

Anybody who has live-in help knows how hard it is to find someone you trust.
If it turns out to be true, not only will the family be devastated, but more importantly the poor woman, who is working here to put her kids through school, will have to start all over again hunting for a job, and that's never easy.
