Well i can tell you i cant imagen my life without my husband we are married now only one and a half years but i cant live without him his my everything.
Secret of happy-married life, don't let each other controls your individual life. Let the laws you heard during your church wedding control your life and you will never go wrong. Of course, part of the relations all the rials you will encounter but faith in HIM will keep the union 'til death do you part.

You are both correct. Many expats have families "back home" and are just after a good time. On the other hand, i have also seen many marriages. There's no formula.. You meet the right person and things click into place.
It is any expat society, so it's not just here no. But when the majority of expats aren't looking to settle down, that makes finding a significant other pretty difficult.
I don't know, I think men have to be in a certain mindset to meet someone they will marry, and with how transient the society is here, it's hard to meet guys that are willing or want to settle down.
indeed hard for single people. Life time partner can work somewhere else but not here, being married is the only safe way to avoid troubles and problems. Sometimes you would be married and you can't get rid of the trouble or being accused for things that you did not do.
Why? People look at you and see you as they see you and just judge you like that. It is hard for some of them just to let you be, or think of something else but the bad stuff always.
A man without a wife is like ... like ... what should I say? I guess nothing at all ... What is the benefit of ... I have a fancy car, great house, a bank account and in the end? I'm 55 or 60 Years old, without a family .. without a wife, never heard the laughter of the kids? What a wasted wife that would be ...
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. (Gautama Buddha)
ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! I can't live without. That is why she's with me here in Qatar now. I love her so much that I pray to God that if ever will be separated eternally, get me first because I really don't forsee what will be my life without her..........

brit, the service called Laundry will be washing and ironing for you. It’s not worth it to keep a wife for it. Laundry service is much cheaper and less complicated..lol..

A wife/husband for me is impt like breath, like life hihihi! the source of happiness and sadness at the same time and the one that makes you keep on surviving!
I never really liked this saying (although I've been known to use it). Perhaps it's because I never really understood it. The thought of needing someone else in order to feel complete just baffles me. Isn't that something that should be accomplished on our own, by ourselves? Why do we feel the need to be with someone else before we can feel whole? Are we really incomplete without someone to share our lives with?
There are so many people out there who choose to remain single. There are those out there that have commitment issues and may never get over them. Are you telling me that because of that, they'll never be whole? Because of their choices or fears, they can never be complete? Until they settle down, are they doomed to spend their lives as nothing more than a half of a missing whole? This is a concept that boggles my mind to no good end.
Have we totally missed the boat here? If we can't be whole on our own, there is no way we will ever be able to give ourselves wholly to any relationship. After all, we will only have a half to offer. Something will always feel as if it is missing. Something will always feel out of place and until we can be happy being by ourselves, it is unlikely that we'll ever be happy being with someone else as well. They say two halves make a whole and while I can't argue the truth in that statement, I can wonder: Until we find our true love, are we truly just halves?

how are you doing?
cooking, washing dishes and clean the house??? How unfair ... all of those to be shared and done together ...
It is good sometimes to show some kind of appreciation after you have a nice meal by washing the dishes ...
It is nice to clean the house, cook some food sometimes, to let her rest while she is sick and to let her know that you are taking care of her ...
Of course I will wash her car if that is required, not crazy to let my wife go out and wash it in the streets ...
Peace ...

for me no wife means :
1. No home cooked food
2. No Washing and Ironing
3. No one to run errands
4. No Driver to go pubbing
5. No cleaner to clean the house
etc. etc.
Meh. All in all not worth it from where I stand.

A partner gives love unconditionally
it is extremely rarely nowadays..
most of ppl prefer to "dump and move on" if their conditions/requirements are not satisfied...lol...

A partner is loyal and honest
A partner is strong and protective
A partner is loving and romantic
A partner gives love unconditionally
Couldn't imagine a life alone, except when the 'trouble and strife" really really gets on my nerves and i feel like killing her :0)
