DOHA NIGHT LIFE!!! :-)
Heyyy People,
i am a big clubber myself, always was since young in Paris, London, Dubai, Beirut, Los Angeles, and now in Qatar... but doha night life is very atypic in terms of music they play, the crowed that goes there, the general ambiance in the so-called club... and there are some things missing...
So, i want to have your opinion concerning night life in Doha! what you like and dont like? what would you like to change? improve, or that you find good enough...
in other words what would be the best club for you? Let's try to gather all info, and see how we can use it to improve night life in Doha !!! :)
as far as i am concerned, i find it very strange especially when it comes to the kind of "platonic relationships" that you have amongst the crowd. It's like you feel that everybody knows you or something, and people are for most of them very kind and respectfull.
the biggest advantage of night life for me in Doha is: the good quality crowd except one or two places...
the worst thing about it is of course the proportion of men versus ladies even though it depend on the day and the place you go clubbing!!! but what i miss the most is the club's VIP Areas!!! only the Pearl has it...
Let's gather all thoughts !!!
:)
Its very hard to change...
Have A Great Day.....
My suggestion is to follow up with the MoS promoters and see how successful they are with their upcoming venue and go from there. If you have the capital yourself, you can always try the old adage, "build it and they will come". Its seems the Qatari's are in the early stages of doing just that. Any idea if the Pearl is selling out?
I just read that there is a 2 to 1 ratio for men to women.
still has to develop a lot in this sector:)
Hmm been here for longer than 2 years. Enjoyed the clubs for the first few months, then it got a bit old. The ratio of guys to girls is still surprising..
You can actually memorize the schedule and the events.. as the events are so minimal.
The simple fact is that this is the Middle East. Having worked in Saudi and Bahrain, I am surprised at how open Qatar is. But , please remember that this is still a pretty closed society, so clubbing, drinking, partying, night life is always going to be below that of the West.
