Traffic - Land Mark Interchange
Does anyone know whats happened at the Land Mark Interchange ??? I drive to work from Nr Villaggio through the interchange and back again everyday and its been fine up until today !!!!!!!!
It took me over an hour each way today - whats happened ? Does anyone know - I know there was a really bad accident the at the weekend do you think they have changed the light sequence?
Its driving me crazy.
Thanks
I think it may be closed for a while as it looked pretty dug up down there yesterday....will keep you posted
Keep Smiling :-) you never know who is looking
Thank you Mrs Jacko.... I now know not to bother coming this way for a while....
What a pity it was proving to be such an easy ride to work (well for Qatar standards), I will now have to go back to queing down Al Waab.
i live right in front of the closed roundabout and it is hell takes me an hour to cross the street
The next Roundabout up from Landmark is closed which is causing all of the Al Gharraffa traffic to have to detour past landmark. I live about 1 minute from the island that is closed and the traffic is a nightmare. Its taking my Husband an extra 30 mins to get to work in the morning
Keep Smiling :-) you never know who is looking
GENIUS indeed...
***** I hope life isn't a big joke, because I don't get it. ******
I just came by there and the traffic was backed up to the top of the hill in front of Carrefour.
May your dreams take you travelling all through your life.
I was there too, :(
I live area infront of Landmark n Carrefore. North Madina khalifa.
ok i know im boring you :p

So even with lots of experience of how NOT to build interchanges in Doha they still manage to get a new one wrong. Genius.
is completely useless there. There is absolutely no way anyone will be caught as you cannot go 80 through there if you tried.
It is a really bad design but would be helped if the reduced the speed limit to 60, 80 is too fast and the camera is too close to the lights...
But saying this the traffic has been absolutley fine up until today so something has happened since last Thursday.
I will now have to look for a new way too.... It takes me longer to drive to West Bay than it did to drive 35miles to London !
now that they have turned the lights on. It's a terrible design, very dangerous in my opinion, to have lights at the bottom of a curved hill. I have yet to go through there without having the light be red. I have been finding alternate routes to avoid going through what used to be a great fast shortcut.
