Where would you rather be?

If you didn't have to be in Doha (for those that are), where would you rather be? Is it the place you think of as home, or somewhere else entirely?

The Fiddler On The Roof had it right ....... if I were a rich man, I could afford to spend the time here that I needed to make sure the bish bosh kept coming in, 3 months a year in Jockland, maybe try Buenos Aries as Alexa recommends, some time in Azerbaijan (fascinating place in small doses), and generally waste time in cities all over the world while using the excuse that I was "looking to develop new business opportunities".

As chance would have it, I'm not a rich man, so like Alexa I will stay here, and earn bish bosh on a monthly salary until my plans for world domination come to fruition. Or at least domination of the Qatar market. Or maybe just Hilal East. My street? The house? Okay, surely I still get the remote control .....

And with that, it's off to bed for me, to dream the dreams of the innocent at heart

That said, I'm coming up to year 5 in Doha and still quite content here for the most part.

Far East !!!

But so far i am happy with Doha. As far as my other half happy with his job, make some $$$ to feed the family, son happy with his school ... i am happy. I have make Doha as a home for the past 7 yrs ... And so far so good. What i like about Doha is alot of expat here in the same boat ... so they are really helpfull towards others.

I do have my moment though ... right now i fed up with the heat and cant wait for my next holiday !!!
