Really I wasn't interested when I got phone call asking me to attend Interview after less than 24h. also I like my company,

I said why not let me go and see what they can offer for me

The interview was scheduled to be 12:00 Am, and i was in the time exactly (good boy)

but the sexy filipina secretary asked me to wait, it became 12:45 and i still waiting, i have work waiting me and my manger call me to make sure that i will be back at the time,

I asked the secretary when she think I will go to the interview she smiled and said may be after 1 hour, I said no way I should go now

waw

why they call me i wasn't the only one who face that, I find that really so rude if they start to treat me as slave from now so thanks i am happy with my life

not so happy but it is ok thanks for GOD

I had the same wait when I was called for interview. The filipino lady told me to wait for about 15 minutes. I waited about and hour but nothing is moving. Suddenly came a man who I saw wasn't realy working for the past hour, came to me and started interview me. Why he didn't interview an hour earlier earlier only god knows. He must be busy chit chatting with his buddies.

They seem like taking their own sweet time...

Hehehehe, time is a funny cultural thing, isn't it?  I know that many of the Europeans and North Americans in Doha get frustrated by the Arab approach to time, but when I lived in Japan it was the opposite.  The Japanese often saw the North Americans/Europeans as the ones who couldn't be punctual and had a flexible relationship with time. I often wonder about my old Japanese co-workers and how they would function in an environment like Doha and its flexible approach to time.

I've often wanted to show my students an old Japanese train timetable that I have in storage.  It show trains leaving at weird times like 10:42 or 7:58-and the trains left on those times, not two minutes before or two minutes after. Maybe that new monorail that they are talking about will work like that?

at all i wasn't interest with that job just i want to see what is my price in the market now

I agree with Qatarisun.  Exactly, if they can't get organised enough to even say "Oops, we're running late, have a seat and a cup of tea", they are not the sort of people you want to work with.

when i came first to qatar, and disn't like my first job, i started looking for something else... so once i came for the interview to some office (i even don't remember the name of he company),  on time, and after 10-15 minutes of waiting, i expressed my disappointment... and i could feel they really didn't like it... Instead of being sorry, they got almost angry!!! Ha!

So i just couldn't see myself working for this Company, so why to wait? I said: thank you and left.

There are different kinds of idiots around.. and by the way, the more respectful Company, the better organized its schedule.. so why to work for poorly organized Company, where they don't appreciate you from the very beginning??

most of the interview schedules are not on time. so if you're grabbing for a job, you will wait after 3 hours or more...whew!

Think of it as a time-saver in the long run, they have just told  you what sort of company they really are and not somewhere worth working.  Better to know that now then 6 weeks after signing a contract.
