Good residential areas?

Hello everyone,

I am a single man looking for 1 bedroom apartment.

I am currently in finalizing a job offer and expected to be moving to Qatar in April. I am an Arab national with an American citizenship.

I am currently doing some research online for an apartment, I am getting some good results, but the problem is that when I read an area name, I dont know wheather its good or bad area to live in.

Our office in Qatar will be on Salwa Road behind the Hardess building, so not sure if thats good area to live in or if not, what could be a close good area.

Please take in consideration that my budget in rental costs maximum of 6000 QR/month.

So, where do you think a good, clean, safe area would be ? and do you think with 6000 QR/month I can get a descent 1 bedroom apartment, and if so , could the utilities be included.

I appreciate any help, and detailed answers with area names and many info are highly appreciated.

Thanks all,

dreamer, salwa road are full of car dealership showrom & workshop. But you can find a good flat not far from your office. Or try AlSadd township, which is around 10 minutes driving. Yoy will have no problem to get nice 1 br with less than 6K.
