Persian Cat...

qatarisun
By qatarisun

I already posted it in Classified section.. but I also would like to receive your responses..

...I am interested in getting a Persian Cat. I have contacted Xena already regarding this matter, and she re-directed me to their web site ...Thanks Xena!...

But no such kind of cats has been found on the site. So may be someone has an idea where I can find this cat…or maybe someone possesses a Persian cat and would like to share kittens when they are available… Thanks!

I think the mother would be better. She is white (or grey now cos she is dirty) and has blue eyes. She is friendly and I am sure that after having her and she getting used to you and you getting used to her she will be a very good pet. Even though she is a stray, she always comes to me, rubs her self against me and likes to be petted. This means she likes people. She is about 2.5 years old. She has been sterilized. Send me a private messagewith your phone number and we will set an appointment of thursday evening so you can take care of her all friday. She does need a bath!

Hi Aisha,

Yes i have a pet cat (plain white color) in the philippines i missing her terribly thats why im looking for one now... Me and my husband dont have children right now thats why u can rest assured that my cat will have my full attention. Dont worry i can take care of her!

Hmmm.. i like the little one but since u told me that she not that friendly, OK I agreed for the Mother. Do u think she (mother) can get along other people? Do u know how old is the mother? Whats her color?

Pls advise when & how I can get her?   I am free every Friday.

Waiting for ur most favorable response.

Thank you so much!

Thats all folks!

You know the daughter is not that friendly and I am not so sure on how she will be as a pet. But the mother is very sweet and friendly. I think she would be better as a pet. Ofcourse I can catch her. She is rather dirty now and needs a good bath. But if you really really want her, will take good care of her and give her lots of love and cuddles I will give her to you. Have you ever had a cat before? Do you know what it takes?????

I know one person giving his persian cat for free but he was asking 700 for the cage and other stuff he brought new. The cat was really very cool n sexy ... caramel cream fury hairs  ... I did not take it due to my daughter health condition as dr. advised us not to keep any animal in the house which might effect her health.

I will check if the cat is still with him or not !

dont worry, i will find for you extra couch or even two at my place..

but it’s ok with you to lick the milk out of the bowl on the floor? If there is no any problem with that, just let me know when and where I can pick you up…and other question.. do you shed?? If yes, is that terrible? Should I groom you every single day? or couple of times a week would be enough?

Can I hire daRuDu to groom you?

Just to set the record straight!!!!!

I`m NOT selling Persian Cats or any other Pets....

I just happened to know that this cat was looking for a new home and saw that qatarisun was looking for one.....

And about the donationfee we ask .......I`m not going to comment on that as if you can`t understand why we ask that fee....

yeah i know that taking care or getting pet for free does'nt mean that i will not need to spend any money on it.

What i mean to say is if i will get a cat for free at least i can save the QR300 or QR500 or less for the other cat needs it like for the foods or vitamins.

But yes ur right, the collected fees (donations) from QAWS are also used for the maintenance of other rescued animals... =) and Im not against it...

Qatarisun, I'm afraid only daily grooming will minimise your problem. If I had one I'd also take it for a bath (no ways I'd bath it myself!) at least once a month, their fur looks and feels so nice afterwards. If it's any consolation, even short haired cats shed a lot. Everytime I wear something black you can see all the cat hair all over me. But, you know what? Who cares?!

Yes, a shaving is always an option, but I'd only consider that when it's really hot. They really don't look their prettiest without their beautiful hair.

Remember to feed Cookie good food (dry pellets - Eukanuba, Science Diet, Royal Canin or something alike), always keep fresh water and to keep her litter box always clean.

I'm sure you'll be so loved by Cookie. Go slowly with her, cats are not like dogs, they take time to adjust to a new household. I've read somewhere that you should put butter on their paws when they move onto a new house, this should keep them busy and out of mischief for a while. But I've never tried it, though.

Qatar Pets/QAWS does have an adoption fee/donation policy.

To promote responsible pet ownership we have all our animals vaccinated, health checked and neutered prior to re-homing. The fee you are asked to donate simply covers the cost of these veterinary procedures.

In carrying out the above procedures we:

1) Ensure a healthy pet is adopted - the pet shops do NOT do this

2) Prevent any more un-wanted litters

Pets are an additional expense and need to be budgeted for. If you are taking on a pet and cannot cover an adoption/vet bill maybe you should re-think owning one.

Getting a pet for free does not mean you will not need to spend any money on it.

There is an add today in the newspaper where they offer the arrival of new fish as well as persian cats & dogs...... One of these famous friendly and caring petshops?????

Anyway if you want to go and have a look the name is  Fish World, ph. 5763098 & 4340754. Dont know where it is located though.

Good luck.

i was given a persian cat last yr in july and tis first time for me with a persian. it is correct that they do shed but with daily 'grooming '(combing) the loose hair will be stuck to the comb/brush hence you do not get shedding as much . the more you comb/brush the lesser you will have cat hair stuck to yr clothes when you handle them. also tis good for them if you groom them daily as this will also ensure that they do not lick and swallow their hair and later have hairball problems.i used to have 6 cats (normal ones) thought now i'd give it a try with persian.my persian is a very active and he loves to play and he is also a real chatterbox. very opinionated as well...lol. if ya need any help with yr cat QS give me a shout and will try to help ya there.

I have 2 white long haired cats stray in my garden. It i mother & daughter. I had both of them sterilized. Mother is more friendly than the daughter. Mother is more greyer, but that could be the dirt. Daughter is more white. They are beautiful. However they are stray, but if you have patience & love to give I am sure they will turn into beautiful pets. Mother is about 2 years & daughter 1 year.

If you are interested I can catch them for you. They hang around my garden and are daily present when it is feeding time.

Any reasons for a persian in specific? Persians need to be groomed almost daily and they shed like crazy.

Short haired cats are the way to go. And, unless you intend on taking it to a cat show why not adopt one? There are so many cats that need homes...

My sister has a persian and it's a hassle, all the grooming, bathing... I have two strays and they are so much easier to take care of, plus, they are so much more intelligent!

in a Persian. I bought a mixed breed (half persian) kitten from a shop called Golden fish in al-mansoura. They told me it was a 2 month old male. I've only had it for a week and already it starts getting sick. Took it to the vet and turns out the kitten was only a couple of weeks old and a female. Soon afterwards my kitten became too sick and died a natural death. Moral of this story is be careful purchasing pets from pet shops! you cant trust them!

If anyone out there is intereted in re-homing a Persian cat or, like QS, would like to share kittens please PM me.
