Spectacles repair?

Hi, my v expensive Armani sunglasses have broken. It's not the plastic, its the metal of the hinge that has snapped through wear. At home I would just take them to a local optician and they would repair them. Is that the same here? Any recommendations of where to go? They will need specialist equipment to be fixed. Thanks in advance

from my experience, when you have the hing broken on a metal frame glasses, it can never be the same again even after repair... and out here you will not get a repairer to do the job well, so i advice you to buy another one and not worry about fixing the old one. it might cost less to buy a designer label than fix one here in qatar.....

But Piet, actually, I have called all the opticians and they have said that they do not carry out repairs on sunglasses. Therefore, if i have no luck I will have to post them to UK to be fixed. Owen, thanks for that, will try on Saturday.
once my friend breaks the hinge of his sunglasses, he said that he took it to souq waquif, there's this long joint of watch and jewelry repair...and accordingly, it was fixed perfectly...
