Arabic football commentators
I'm currently watching the Australia vs Qatar world cup qualifying football match on the Al Jazeera Sport 1 channel (67 min gone, 3-0 to Australia if you're interested) and I can't believe how much the commentator is talking. I don't think he's taken a breath since the match started! There are never any pauses to "let the football do the talking", as there normally is in English commentary.
I've often thought this when watching football with Arabic commentary, but it seems even more manic in this match. I'm not saying it's a problem, but if there are any Arabic speaking football fans out there I'd be interested to know what the commentators talk about, constantly, for 90 minutes.
Its natural indeed i like that you dont , he is good she is not, well there are many decent and excellent commentators Aymen Jada and Yousaf Saif are some of those.Badar Bilal formar Qatari National Player has also a good poster and style but am not sure his current station ,before he was with ART.Most of football fans were so used to with Aymen Jada and Yousaf saif that now they dont love other commentators , now check out QFL commentators ,oh man the way the comment seems me that Arabs have conquered Palestine.
just because i'm qatari that doesn't mean i have to agree with ALL qataries or even arabs, i could care less what they think ~ i'm entitled to my own opinions lol :P

Ayman Jdah is nothin compare to Yosef Saif, and all the arab world agrees, he is the best

yeah they talk non-stop, most of my family loves and watches soccer, but i get pretty annoyed with arab commentators (Qataris or that Egyptian guy they have on now) that's why i almost never watch a whole match and wait for the sports news update.
when i asked my brother and sister how can they stand those guys shouting and telling useless information sometimes during the whole game and that english commentators aren't like that (americans tend to yell and get enthusiastic at times but not as bad), they told me it's better and feels more alive!

the only arab commentator i enjoyed hearing was Ayman Jadah (i think he moved from Qatar Television to Al-Jazeera Sports). had a good knowledge of different sports not just soccer and did not throw players info (unimportant as they may be) around as if he's a know-it-all like some of those commentators make you feel, never too loud or talked too much and was very articulate. he even hosted two successful game shows in ramadan for two years in a row back in the 90s lol
i love these commentators man, they are cool but only if u r able to understand

They do talk a lot but you notice this in Brazilian football They do talk a lot but you notice this in Brazilian football commentators, Argentinean. Maybe the English speaking commentators are the ones who don't talk enough. lol.
To answer your question on what they talk about. it's very simple...they are talking about the match and the football, a bit of history of the teams of the players individually not just commenting on the match of course. In just that some cultures have the tendency to speak more. I personally rarely watch football with Arabic commentary, because they usually make bias comments. I do not enjoy that.
