Buying A CAR

Well i am surprised at the procedure of buying a car in Qatar. If you are working in a company or Private sector you have to take a NOC letter from you sponsor stating that he has no objection if you buy a car. I dont understand why one has to take permission form his sponsor for such a basic need such as buying a car. Just the people working in government sector are exempted from this.
What do you guys think of it

Architect - I think they also want to impose NOC for making love as it affects your job performance next day. BTW r u an architect by profession.
yes charan, not only marriage u'll need NOC from sponsor to have kids too :)

I heard they are going impose NOC if you going to marry during you employment here. They think you are not dedicated enough to your job 24 hr / 365 days if you get married.
Government Staff are not excepted from this NOC. The only people who doesnt need an NOC is the Nationals itself... coz its their country...
It's the rule, and what can you do, basically nothing.
But if you got a wife with you here you can buy the car in her name, with a NOC letter from you saying it's ok for her to own a car
You are a slave to your Employer. Slaves need permission fron their Masters for every thing. Simple as that
