Apparently there's a fire at the food court of Villagio. I have no further details just yet.
It would be a good advise that people don't go there this evening!

Between Matty's afternoon out with the kids and SS getting attacked by an ostrich, it's been quite an eventful Eid. :)

We got there at the same time as the Fire Service. Within 10 minutes the shops were closed and the Police were stopping people entering. We waited about 30 mins and left. Only took 35 mins to get out the car park.....good day out really, the kids loved it...lol

and saw black smoke billowing above the roof tops some way away and wondered what it was. Maybe that was what I was looking at. I've no sense of direction, though, so God knows where the fire was that I was watching lol

Facing the entrance to the Airport, it would have been to the right - i.e. opposite direction to the Toyotta Tower, to the left. Would that have been Villagio direction?

Well - we stood by the Tower and watched from about 5 to 5:15, only one engine there at that time and flames coming out the roof. Didn't seem to be evacuating the Carrefour end.

Good thing it's not like Glorietta tragedy in Manila but is this true?
