I could see that car prices in Qatar are a little bit higher than Canada. I was wondering about the regulations to ship cars to Qatar.

Having just recently moved from Canada to Doha and having bought a vehicle here, I can say that not all vehicles are cheaper in Canada. We looked at the lexus RX350, it was about 189K QAR fully loaded, which is about 51800 CAD, if you look at this same vehicle in Canada it will cost you in the neighbourhood of 70K CAD. The sad part is this vehicle is actually made in Canada... We ended up buying a full load Prado for 2000 CAD more than we sold our 05 4 Runner for in Canada. GMC vehicles are definatly cheaper here than Canada. For the most part, almost all vehicles we looked at are are cheaper here than in Canada.

thinking it would be cheaper in the long run..was going to cost me around $14,000...one way!! Used cars, have to be less than 5 years old..so unless your car is fully paid for...I'd buy over here...

Usually shipping company know the regulations. in addition you will pay more than 10000 US$ for shipping and you will loose the car warranty.

For used cars, have to be less than 3 years old I think
