yes its true that Tata Sky is not available here as this system was designed to be used only in India. Yes its true that so many peope in the GCC are using it. I am one of them.
Now if someone needs Tata Sky, you have 2 options,
1. See if someone is selling the Receiver here in Qatar, I seen an advert in QL recently, look for it.
2. Go to India, subscribe for the service and get the receiver topped and loaded with credit and get it to Doha.
Tata Sky receiver is 100% pure and clean family entertainment. There should be no reason why anyone should find it illegal or unofficial.
You have great TV shows, good entertainment which is needed in Qatar.
There was no need for Pranay91 or skdkak to make a messy soup out of it. We all need everyone view (ONLY) on a issue, subject or curiosity..
