Missing my son :(

hello all

I am separated from my husband and one of the reasons I came here is to save fast to annull my marriage back home. However, I'm missing my son badly and I was hoping that he could come visit during school vacation, 2 months tops. I was wondering if I could secure a visa for him alone (husband excluded) and for my mother to accompany him (or is that allowed?).Would my (ex)husband figure into this at all? His signatures on any docs concerning my son, etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I agree to ,coz i went to immigration last sunday to file my visa application for my wife & son..But by the time i show my document they ask me to attest our mariage contract to the embassy and MOFA..tsk..tsk..tsk..!!so i went to embassy for attestation of our marriage contract But luckily they also asking the original copy..so sablay n nman si lolo..tsk...tsk...tsk...!!and they told me that if i going to bring my wife & son here i need to get affidavit support from them which required from immigration. but the requirement to this affidavit of support is salary certificate stating that your basic salary should be QR.5,000.00 and NOC from your employer is this true? Oo by the way i only applying for visit visa for 2 - 3 months

All your information is certainly helpful, sounds tedious to go through all those processes but at least now I know where to start. My son's 6 and living with my parents. If I can help it I don't want to deal with my husband but in this case, seems no avoiding it. Thank you all. God bless...

In my experience, a minor can travel with one parent even without a consent from the other. But the minor needs both consents if he is travelling with a guardian. Formalities is done with DSWD. With regaeds to Qatar formalities, you can consult with the other kababayans, who have been here long enough to answer you in this regard.

If i understand correctly, you are still legally married, and you're in Doha and your son (how old?) is the Philippines(?) living with...(?) your husband?

I think the best way is to call up your Embassy and ask : you want to invite your mother and son to come and visit you, and ask what would be the procedure for your son to get a passport (?) or an authorization to leave the country with your mother. If the son is in the custody of his parents (or father), and if he's under-aged, someone has to sign off for him to go...? no? Please try the Embassy and let us know. Good luck.

I checked your info and I saw you're a kabayan...

Unfortunately, in our country a minor cannot travel with one parent without the consent of the other parent. However, if you can get his consent then that's well and good.

Also you have to secure a permit from DSWD since you plan to have your child travel with your mother and no parent is accompanying him.

As for the visa, you need to have birth certificates authenticated in PHI (malacanan and DFA) and then at the embassy here and then attested to by MOFA in Al Bustan. Then you can proceed to immigration dept or have it processed by your company liason.
