A french charity in the huise of doing charity work in Chad has been found to be kidnapping small children and taking them to France to given to childless french couples for a high price.

It is high time the work of charities in poor countries is controlled.

at least she is there with her own grand parents not in some foreign country with some foreigners and with no guarantee that you will see them any time soon

this was with the orphanage..in that case there WERE no parents...the article said it MIGHT have been some villagers ...my guess would be that if the charity workers had knowing gone in to get some person's child, that they wouldn't have done it since there were PARENTS available to care for the children

i have a one yr old daughter whose in my home country now...

WHY? because for now Im in a financial crisis... AL Hamdulilah shes with my mom.. as i know that my mom can take care of her better.

U know sometimes its not what we want that we have to do... we just have to accept that we can never hold the clouds in our hands.

i dont like that im far away from my daughter specially now that her mind is delicate, this is the time for her to start learning evrything and she has to be with me in this critical stage... but then again, my finances wont let me do that...

well - her being there is better than being here getting hungry...

Scarlett how do you think you as a parent would feel if your child is taken away from you to a far away land solely because of the fact that you were poor? Would you feel happy about it?

Instead of taking away the children there are many other ways isnt it?

amount of charity work in poor countries...Heaven forbid someone actually does something good for someone...yep..let's control that...

Stealth...have you ever considered that those children might have been starving to death...or even mistreated..would you rather see that than have them have a home where someone would love and take care of them..see they have their emotional and physical needs met?

maybe yes, maybe not.

But sure they will also change their religion.

Why didn't the french charity help them by money but leave them in their country???

Allam, Deby is trying to propagandize the situation. The children were more then likely being sold to childless couples.

"Their aim is to kidnap the children from their parents, to steal the children from their parents and sell them to paedophile organisations in Europe, and even perhaps to kill them and sell their organs," Mr Deby said.

I have to agree with butterfly on this one. So probably do most of those kids.

but why poor children?. Most likely these children would have been sold to whealthy families in france that are sick of waiting 5+ years in order to adopt a child legally in France. That's better than being an orphan in Chad.

Yes, it is bad that a charity is making money out of illegal practices as such. But if adoption in Europe was made easier for hopeful parents, this things would not happen.
