Qtel

What is up with Qtel? Has anyone had the same experience as we are experiencing....?

We had a set appointment for Qtel to install the "mozaic" package for us on the 22 of October....not only did we not get it yet but they keep telling us we are getting tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and they say we are getting it tomorrow, etc.

Does anyone know if this is common with Qtel...or are we special?

Thank you in advance for any input.

Hey Vegas,

Mozaic is something like cable. I noticed satellite that we have is pretty unrestricted (meaning a lot of unsuitable channels...channels that you would have to pay for in the U.S. are free here!) Mozaic also offers some american channels.

Here is the website: http://tv.mozaic.qa/

We did receive the wrong package and I am still trying to get them to give what we requested...I am sure it will take months before a resolution.

Also, sorry for the not so quick response...it takes time for me to find free ftime :)

He did however get my ADSL going...

You can't teach experience...

We finally got mozaic installed...it is a miracle. The day before they told us we will get it installed no sooner than three weeks from now. Then the next morning I got a call if it is ok to come and install!

We are happy...even though we got the wrong box.

So I guess the solution is to call up to 5 times a day and keep buggin them until they are sick of you!

Thanks everyone for your input:)

I have Mozaic at home and quite happy with its performance ... it all depends on the proximity of your house towards the nearest telephone exchange... for it to work the distance should not be more then 2.4 km

If you can't change your fate, change your attitude.

Qtel on the other hand IS Special....as in special olympics! But then again what do you expect from a monopoly?

We moved to our new appartment at the beginning of Septemeber, and we are still waiting for our land lines and internet installation....we keep getting "next week inshallah"...I know it was Ramadan and EID, but 2 months (and counting) to come and install a landline and internet??? Come on! They are just retarded! Possibly the WORST company in the world.

Stay safe all.

Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?

Me too! We have been waiting since the 29th Sep for them to fix our adsl. I have given up phoning them. Theye make you wait 15 minutes on the phone and they figure if you are still hanging on after that then you have "earned" an answer to your call, but nothing ever happens.

I would never go with Mozaic. You get capped at 512kb internet speed if you go with them.
