Why is Doha not decorated with lights to celebrate EID?

I’m surprised that the city is not illuminated to celebrate EID. It just feels like any other normal day.

Compare this to Bahrain where all the bldgs are brightly illuminated to celebrate EID. There is feeling of celebration in the air. Maybe that is why is see so many Qatar based cars (landcruisers) in bahrain :-)

Although lighting is superficial, more importantly, I got to see the movie “the kingdom” in City Center, Doha (brilliant movie) while this same movie is banned in Bahrain.
Full points to Qatar – I don’t really want any lights now :-)

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors; but they all have to learn to live in the same box.

every year, they use to do it.

Last year they didnt do it and the reason was bcoz of asian games

This year ...who knows the reason?

It was just like a normal day...:(

How much ever Qatar isgetting modernised, they should not lose thier customs.
