I have heard of some de facto relationship exceptions in the immigration dept... ofcourse you would have to pull a lot of strings to get one of those.

You have to ask yourself if it is really worth the risk.

You could face harsh penalties if caught, would it be worth it?

Why not come here on your own and if things work out with your boyfriend then great, but if not then you know if was not meant to be.

Is this guy worth risking you freedom when you could easily be a couple without living together?

as long as it is a private compound with mostly non muslim westerners and europeans living and as long as you keep a very low profile. it should not be a problem and try not to make anyone dislike u in ur neighbourhood. I have seen women and men jailed for illicit relationships as they call it here. They have no concept of boyfriends and girlfriends here in this part of the world. but it is better than Saudi Arabia.

You can live with your boyfriend or any kind of friend/s as long as you are not a 3rd world country passport holder.

Qatar is becomming a cultural hub for middle east. God bless.

Test how strong your relationship with your partner before you make any major sacrifice.

All the best

Before you worry about your accommodation in Qatar, I should ask you, did you check what kind of visa will you need to get into the country? If you are not on a business or resident visa, are you going to be on tourist/temp visa?

Wouldn't that mean that your partner should get into the country first then invite you?

It is not easy for a woman to come into the country (unattended!!!) so, please make sure to check the visa process first.

Very good luck.

It is quite tough to do so...but then nothing in this world happens without risk...but then again u can always come to Qatar and take 2 sep places beside each other and spend the max time together...

So try out this option...it will work out and there is nothing to worry bout champ...

So anything else pls feel free to ask buddy...

Welcome to Qatar...and hey u can always good textile jobs here in the retail industry...

I agree with novita. The problem is not the different skin colour,it is because you are not married.Normally you have to show the marriage certificate if you want to rent a room or villa.

Wish you good luck and all the best.

many ppl do it ... but it is risky. It is against the law living under the same roof unmarried. If you got caught or somebody who dont like you reported to the authority, you will be in the big trouble.

And if you do it ... dont advertise it on the forum.
