Mr. on the visa but I'm a Ms!!!

Hey guys, I finally received my visa but there's one hitch, on it I was addressed as Mr. and my gender as male. I am alarmed, I waited long for this visa and not exactly thrilled at the prospect of sending it back for corrections. Is it going to matter very much? I am going through the motions now of having it authenticated but I need feedbacks. Also, I am directly hired, do I need to go to Poea for anything essential for my departure? I don't want to be held at NAIA for lack of documents. Thank you all.

It is a working visa and I waited 6 weeks since I sent back the signed contract...Thank you all very much, it makes me fell a lot better. All other details on the passport are correct,so now perhaps i'll stop freaking out about it. Opps, I am a supervisor as indicated in the visa. I wish!

You can inform your employer about the error and their PRO can do it in a day or two maybe since it is just a minor error. Otherwise, your employer can issue a letter that they are processing the correction of this error for the purpose that you will not be held at the Philippine Immigration.

I had some problems with my visa before also and my employer issued me this letter which I showed at the Phil. immigration. Too bad for me, this error can not be corrected anymore. My birthdate was written as 19 instead of 17. Our PRO just told me not to worry since what is a two day difference. It won't matter much. Welcome to Qatar.

Yes, u dont have to worry, its merely clerical error. And they will consider it, as long as all substantial data is correctly encoded on your visa.

Hi,

Do not worry, the same thing happened when I did my Mum a visa to Qatar, they told me the most important thing is the passport number and then the name and last but not least nationality, if all these info are correct then no problem.

These things happen because simply the immigration officers sometimes do not know if the person is a male or a female, becuase the name belong to culture different that theirs..

Be good
