Have you tried to apply for a Visa to France

If you have tried to apply for visa to France this summer, you will know what I am speaking about. Today I had to stand in the sun infront of the Embassy for an houer and a half until a guard came out at 8:00 Am who does not speak English, then suddenly the quee bacame a mess, all shouting, screeming and pushing.

If the guard like you, he will give u a peice of paper 1cmX1cm with a number written on it that will grant you access, if he does not like you ... good luck to you

If you are not lucky to get that piece of paper try your best to regsiter and come back in two or three days later and guess what, when you come back as lots of people standing there did, you can not find your name on the register and you do not get the lucky peice of paper

The liest that could be done is to have someone senior enough to organise the people in two categories, those who need an appointment and those who have already registered, then call them based on the number of priority ... or have some other better way to manage it

GG and Novita,

My husband is going to complete his 'six mths term' on 15th but me and my child are falling 1 month short. So, what will the scene in this case?

What do you think whether they will give me the permission to cross the boarders?

I hv investigated this before. Basically they are saying they will not let me in if i come on my own. I dare not to take the risk arriving in the UAE ... they let my friends go through the custom and i being deported back to Qatar.

I can get visa on arrival no problem ... my husband just have to be presents with me. Did that few times before in the past.

Shreeya ... yes i can read your mind. Be very afraid !!!! lol

UAE cant you get a visa on arrival? I think it was like that before. If you have Qatar RP valid for minimum six months you can get it from Airport. I dont know if its changed now.

Have you ever been to UAE Novita? I just want to clarify, My husband works for a govt co. What are the visa procedures likely? They aresaying that we have to arrange our visa thru travel co.s or sponsorship from my sister. I am going to visit my sister living in Abu Dhabi. Don't know what to do.

going to UAE also a pain. Once i plan to have a girlie weekend with some girlfriends. Most of them are 'white girlfriends', and they dont need a visa eventhough they going on their own. As for me ... i can't go to UAE on my own without my husband.

Again ... it is a pain... :-(

are you going to french in perticular, if you just need a schengen visa why dont you try Italian embassy?

i applied schengen visa from french embassy before ... they only issued certain number of visa each day, and taking a certain amount of applicant. Once their quota is full you have to come back the next day.

it is a pain ...
