All of you folks who want to get in shape, let me know what gym you have decided to use (so I can find the darn thing!). I'm ready to rock and roll!

I'll give you all a hint though...the night before you decide to start a new lifestyle..go eat what I call your "last supper"..eat whatever you want to cause it might be a very long time before you do that again! hehehe...

Just teasing...you can eat what you want, just do it in moderation..as with everything else...Denying yourself something just backfires on you in the long run. Just have to learn how to stop with a few bites instead of the whole enchilada.

clothing and keep using it until it is too large to fit anymore, then use another piece. Its all in how much muscle you put on with you are working out, as muscle weighs more than the other stuff (no, I won't use the "f" word!) plus more muscle means better tone, which means everything pulls in tighter..hence..skirt buttons easily! You have lost weight, just not measurable on a weight scale, my dear...

As far as being able to recognize us..I for one, intend to almost totally disappear from sight...be light as a feather...(ok well THAT will never happen due to my Germanic heritage, but one can pretend!)

by the time I get back from UK ????

I quite liked you all as you are! And Richard! There's nothing OF you! (unless you were hiding something under your bloussant shirt?)

When my Hub left UK last November he really WAS overweight. By the time he reappeared back home for a break in March he had lost a great deal of weight. He doesn't use a gym. He DIDN'T get an alcohol licence here and, as a batchelor in Doha, he lived on ready bought dhals and koftas.

Since I live in hope of an easy way to trim down, I joined him in this 'regime' when I arrived 2 months ago (only difference is I joined an aerobics class which I went to a couple of times a week and latterly I have taken to a morning swim instead). The local weighing machines lie to me, telling me I have lost no weight and yet a skirt I bought with me (the top button of which I couldn't do up before) now fits!

or do you have the number?

By Scarlett• 25 Jun 2007 08:46

is the Moevenpick gym charging for membership? and congrats on the number 3 on the ciggies!!! I actually know where the 4 Seasons is, so shouldn't be too tough to find the moevenpick since she said its directly across the street.

Based on Bridge's magic 3 formula, I have decided on Movenpick gym for the following reasons:

1. It was recommende by a management consultant

2. They have a cheap joining offer

3. I know where it is

Started the plan by having a massage last night, smoked only three cigarettes (see that number again) and had fruit for breakfast. I am up for it.
