gastro and food

Have many people had gastro in Doha?

I thought I was going fine - nothing at all.

But today I got a real case of gastro - very nasty .. feel terrible.

Not sure where I got it - been drinking at a few different juice stalls in the Al Sadd area over the last few days.

Anyone else had anything like this and know where they got it?

every individual is different.

fruits get spoilt pretty fast in summer and in the juice stalls they are not going to check if the fruit is good or bad, they need to clear out their stuff so you end up drinking the fresh fruit juice or probably a few spoilt fruits.

take care dude.

Yeah I have stayed away from them but some friends have been drinking at one of them with no ill effects.

Went along with them thinking it was OK ...

That will teach me for straying from beer!

11 years here and never a juice stall. I was going to say you're brave but you did pay the price.

You cannot vouch for the cleanliness of fruit stalls in Doha.

Might as well stick to the bottled or canned juices for the meantime.
