I am a Operations Director in Construction, been in the business 25 years qualified designer/Strutural Engineer, I have controlled major contracts throughout the world and looking forward to arriving in Qatar Tuesday 1st May, I tell the companies my terms that is business these days. Check out the clubs before joining - but you will have time as their waiting lists are quite long. Cannot recommend the Diplomatic club. It is becoming very traditional in its' dress code and the food is only adequate. There are a lot better than this.

Your package is ok.
I hope you get an accom allowance within the range of 16k-18k QR, being an Ops Dir.
And the car has got to be an SUV.
Like what our Proj Dir is getting right now ( but surely, his salary is more than 28K)

Welcome to Doha! Salary is very nice. Hopefully, your company is giving you a villa/apt. and not just a set amount in cash because rents go up and down, no wait...just up, all the time. :)
Azi i just inquired abt his compensation package.... I want to knw his background and years of experience thats all...
But the pay scale is too much.... Well beyond expected and may not be linked to performance....as usual
Wait till he sets his foot in Qatar before you dissect him and his compensation package.
