True to my word... This is the local sports calendar for the next one week, starting this Wednesday to next Tuesday. Will keep updating if there are any changes. Hope somebody gets to use this info...

April 25 - Wednesday
ATHLETICS Heir Apparent's Cup, cadets and youth, 4pm at Qatar Sports Club
BASKETBALL Emir's Cup final, 6.30pm at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall.
HANDBALL Qatar League, Al Khore vs Qatar, 5.15pm at Al Sadd Indoor Hall; Al Wakra vs Al Shamal, 5.15pm and Al Sadd vs Al Ahli, 6.45pm at Al Rayyan Indoor Hall.
VOLLEYBALL Qatar League, Al Arabi vs Al Khor, 6.30pm and Al Gharafa vs Al Shamal, 8pm at Al

Arabi Indoor Hall.

April 26 - Thursday
HORSE RACING Weekly races, 4pm at Al Rayyan Park (Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club).
HANDBALL Qatar League, Al Gharafa vs Al Khore, 5.15pm at Al Khore Indoor Hall; Al Arabi vs Al Shamal, 5.15pm and Al Sadd vs Al Rayyan, 6.45pm at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall.

April 28 - Saturday
HANDBALL Qatar League, Al Gharafa vs Qatar, 5.15pm at Al Arabi Indoor Hall; Al Arabi vs Al Wakra, 5.15pm and Al Rayyan vs Al Ahli, 6.45pm at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall.

We are a bunch of Expats who play field hockey.....Trying our best to get a regular playing field as the present surface we play on is up for demolition(next to Al Ghazal club/Marriott Hotel)

Any body interested or know of a ground that we can play do post me .

I believe the Camel Racing season has or is about to come to an end and will resume again in September. Perhaps others could confirm this. We went to the races about 2 weeks ago and it was well worth the the effort. I would recommend it to anybody - go and experience it! You do not WATCH camel racing - you EXPERIENCE it. There is a big difference. Enjoy.

Do you know the schedule for the camel racing? There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on it.

That schedule was announced only two days back, after i had put up the list. Anyways, great to know that people are actually keeping tags. Goof work. Once i get more organised, these finer points will be taken care of...

This weekend sees Doha Rugby Club hosting the Asian Women's Rugby 7's Tournament starting at 12h00 Friday through to Saturday evening 20h00. There will be teams from approximately 16 Asian countries taking part - a truely International event of note - fully endorsed by the International Rugby Board [IRB]
