E-Bay Shopping!

Hi Folks!
I'd been on e-bay despretly looking for some electronic items. Trust me they are very cheap as compared to Qatar Market. Just wanted to know if any of you ppl in Qatar has ever bought anything from E-bay. How secure E-bay is? How do you pay? has anyone been ripped of? any good/bad experiences. Also will they ship the item to Qatar? Anything? Guys please share your experiences and let everyone know, if it is safe to buy from e-bay.
I desperately need to buy this "MAP Sensor from a 1990 Geo Metro" for my car but I don't have a credit card to register with the site. The bid will end 31 March 2007 and the only bid I saw was for $0.99
I really need to have this item but don't know how...Please?
Before I landed in Qatar, I've used eBay both as a buyer and a seller. I got ripped off once when I paid A$300 into a St.George's bank account and expected the guy to send me a PC graphics card. Never happened. I wasn't the lone victim and both the bank and eBay found out this person had registered a fake ccount in Sydney and disappeared with approx A$8000.
I might start eBaying again now that Paypal is operative in Qatar.
I've used eBay for about 300 successful bids. Was ripped off once.
I mostly used Bidpay to pay. You can use PayPal now, too.
I use Aramex Shop n Ship to have items shipped to my US mailbox.
