Last week, I sent Two original documents with photo copies to the QATAR Embassy Washington i.e(police certificate and Finger prints issued by RCMP and Authenticated by Ministry of Foreign affairs , Canada.)

I also sent them a Bank draft of 28 US$ issued by CIBC Canada.
.
They sent me back all ducoments (without attestation) with a cover letter with out mentioning what document is missed, I called them many time , not so lucky to get through with concern people.

Here is the copy they sent me

Important notes to consider:
For Canadian, Mexican, Peruvian, and Chilean nationals or residents: all money orders or company checks should be withdrawn from a US bank and in US currency; we do not accept otherwise.
Authentications of commercial and legal documents issued in the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Peru, or Chile are legalized at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Washington, D.C.
The following requirements apply to all the U.S.A., Canada, Mexico, Peru, and Chile:
 Notarized by the notary public (County, City)
 Notarized by the Secretary of State (State, Province)
 Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Country. (Canada, Peru, Mexico, and Chile)
 Notarized by the US State department Authentication Division in Washington D.C. (Tel: 202-647-5002) (YES, MUST BE AUTHENTICATED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT IN WASHINGTON DC)
 A money order in the amount of $14.00 per document payable to the Embassy of the State of Qatar.
Please provide 2 extra copies of each original document you send.
Please make sure that your name and address appear on both the sender and the recipient fields of the prepaid airway bill (not regular mail).

Can any one tell me please where I am missing something if you have same experience while you leaving from Canada to Qatar

DO I NEED TO MAKE BANK DRAFT only FROM USA BANK?
DO I NEED TO NOTARIZED BOTHE DUCOMENTS FROM CITY AND PROVINCE (ON)?, I CHECKED WITH CITY COUNCIL THEY TOLD ME THEY DON’T NOTORIZED DUCOMENTS.

I’ll appreciate and thanks in advance

Hello Oakville,

My daughter phoned the Qatari embassy in DC with a question about a visa problem and they were totally useless so don't expect much help from them.

Also when we moved here my husband's employer handled all the paperwork through their HR department so we never had to deal with a government agency directly. Maybe your sponsor's HR department would be a good place to start. They must have experience in this kind of thing. Sorry I can't help more.

Good luck.

Hi,

I believe that you are trying to notorized these certificates and since there is no canadian embassy and consulate in qatar you sent this to American Embassy. With the above assumption and as per my knowledge and experience, initially British embassy was doing these notorization and latter this was shifted to American Embassy. I also needed few documents notorized for renewal of my Canadain passport a year ago and I approached both embassies and I was tod that they are not performing this function now. I ended up getting it certified through my phisician.

So, my advice will be to call the American embassy and ask if they can notorize these documents. Otherwise you may have to get them notorized by a lawyer or a person (like doctor) who is authorized to notorize it.

Hope this helps
