SUPPORT LOCAL SUPERBIKE TALENT!

I am writing on behalf of the "Qatar Bikes" team.
As a regular visitor of Losail International Circuit, I am constantly disappointed by the lack of media coverage of local events, such as the Qatar National Road Racing Championship. In my opinion, it would be a perfect opportunity to show off local talent. As and Ex-Pat, I feel proud for Qatar, as they hold such potential as an international runner for future Super Bike champions. Without media coverage, I don't think the current champions (Mishal and Talal Al Naimi) stand a chance at fulfilling their full potential!
Do you think these guys deserve a chance?
Contact me if you can help, or would like more information! It would be great to see more spectators!
Losail is a 30 minute drive from Doha City, entrance is free on local track days, and you are guaranteed to be wowed by both local and international talent!
The next heat is on Saturday 10th February -Main race starts at 2pm!

The government helps fund the riders, but more money is needed! As you say, there is enough money in this country, they just need to use it! I think that motorbike racing is a great investment! Especially for the international stars that ride here!
They have this purpose-built track, how the hell do they keep it open if there are no spectators?
Answer: money!!!
me and my husband are huge fans of moto gp and the superbikes, its a shame that there are no profesionals to help out the qataris - but why i mean the country has enough money to help out the guys?
Thats what I like to hear! Someone who knows how hard it is!
Im just a spectator, and I have the same frustration!
I know that the federation are in it for the glory, and NOT the hard work! They have cut their noses off to spite thier faces there.
Using TV coverage is not purely to get people famous...it also gives the federation exposure...so, its a win, win situation!
I agree that Qatar NEED to get professionals in to help them manage teams!
Thanks for replying to my plea!
Man i go to Talal's place every week almost i relate so much to those guys they are the same as me, basically professional talent at an international level that is not being given enough attention in Qatar!!
The problem here man is that sports are big in Qatar passively, Qatari people like to WATCH other people do sports, very few actual Qatari's want to do stuff that involves moving more than reaching for a snack!
Thats why when a few of us are actually going out there and winning and improving we end up just getting more frustrated because its like a closed road! There is no place for Qatari professionals, only amateurs get attention because they compete to represent the country, but pro's we are after our money and fame and proving we are the best at what we do! Its like reaching for a dream, and its usually an expensive dream because as a pro you need more than a retired b-level coach and new uniforms (which is what the amateurs get).
Man we need lots of support we need private training and equipment and tons of things, Talal and the guys at least have a world-level race track and they have some sponsors who give them free bikes and help with their mechanic fees and tires and stuff.
I have to go solo i have to pay my doctor my dietician and my meals and trainer at the gym and online privates from coaches overseas cause there arent any here, man when i'm out with friends beleive me i'm ALWAYS the one that left my wallet at home cause i cant afford anything on the side!
Plus all the negative stuff you have to hear from people at home and work all the time who tell you just to quit and "join us" and depressing remarks like that 24/7 i swear i should be on Oprah just for surviving this long!!
But at the end of the day man its my dream man, i dont have many things my friends and peers have but the talents and abilities and experience i have they couldnt buy with all their incomes combined! And i am very happy living knowing that!
I go to the newspaper after i won a state level championship in the united states because i wanted some publicity and the damn sports section guy writes some article on september 11th with about two sentences about my acheivement!! Everyone wants to get famous from our achievements! When talal and mishaal win in the track 95% of the article and pics are about how the organizers and heads of the federation did a wonderful job and their pics, but hardly anyting about the guys!
The stories are endless man i can pull out 50 Qatari guys who are super world class talents who just lost hope because they were cornered into it! What are you gonna do eventually? How are you gonna pay the bills? how are you gonna travel and compete? Once the heads of the federations have drained all the credit from you and gotten all the attention they want to themselves then they will dump you you are disposable to them!
Look at how many Clendars and posters Talal has been in! How come a guy like that who is known in spain and italy's bike circuit is stuck here and not the star of some video-game or making crazy international sponsor money?? Because man thats where the federation comes in! When you have an amateur federation controlling professionals then someone is bound to be screwed, and in this case its the professionals!
