salam all...I went to check out Qtel website, and it states that I need to get a scratch card to top up the prepaid card, how much is the scratch card?

and I be flying in over the weekened, just to be on the safe side, it is advisable for me to hand carry a thick  jacket or just chuck it into my luggage, how low is the mercury level now?

Surprised cant believe I am finnally going there in 36 hours and counting !

to a Q Tel outlet to buy a sim card. You will need your passport and visa....

You can buy recharge cards in most corner supermarkets, pharmacies and some restuarants....

Hope this helps

pudding, since you are from Singapore. I guess at the moment is very cold. During the night just imagine like in Genting Highland. You don't need a thick coat like when you go to snowing country though. Something warm like warm cardigan will do.

Welcome to Doha :-)
