Hello,

Could you all post a replies on why Qatar is the place to be in? I am a doing a research study on Qatar and will be presenting it to my classmates. Therefore, I certainly hope that they will be convinced that Qatar is a beautiful place to be in. So, I would like to hear some positive testimonials from the beautiful Qataris residents:)

I will then present the testimonials to my classmates. Thank you.

You are saying that the beaches are beautiful and the water crystal clear.

What beaches are you refering to?

I have probably been to the wrong beaches. Certainly not crystal clear water found...

I can say Qatar is very safe, probably the safest in the world. Sometimes, you may feel bored, but you can create time with the family and enjoy your days. To me it depends on what the individual is looking for. I think, I like it out here and will encourage anyone to come and enjoy the hospitality of Qatar and its people

Qatar is really safe, it doesn't matter what time i go out, i really feel safe.

and it is silent, except the parties at my neighbours gardens around my villa, qatar is a place to rest.

i saw some comments as art and culture, unfortunately, i saw nothing in qatar about art and culture except the doha games period. i think the worst face of the city is that there is not much galleries, theatres, shows ...etc. as i am a working woman, i am free after 8, then i don't think hotels should be the only place the spend the night!!!

International shows, singers, operas, ballets...

Qatar is a very safe Country

Qatari people are nice, friendly and good looking (there are exceptions)

Stroll in the Corniche is very relaxing.

Beaches are good.

Summer is horrible

Winters are not too freezing.

Above all Qatar living site is very informative and helpful for new comers and oldies.

AHMAD44 your comments are always hilarious…

Living with my parents for free is a plus.

Putting up with my mother's communist regime is a minus....but you cant win all the time!

Blackcat, I said lazy old people meaning they are the exact opposite of dynamic young people. I didn't mean anyone offence since I never thought anyone would consider themselves a lazy old person??

And no lazy old people give me money, unless you mean my Qatari sponsor, and he doesn't really give me money. The people who give me money are older, hard working people.

If you are refering to the construction freenze, then yes. Otherwise, I would not refer to qatar as a Dynamic, young country, in fact I believe things are a little slow here. Much more slower than other parts of the world.

But yes, these people are going constructin crazy, although sometimes they will build a whole tall skycrapper only to have it demolished later on, or leave it unfinished for months and months.

They say, too much money, not enough sense. And I agree with that.

I would much rather say that Qatar is a country where many many different nationalities mix and work together. Only for one purpose: earning a wages and a lifestyle that perhaps they would not be able to get back home. Does that make Qatar the place to be IN? I doubt it.

And things are getting rough here...I think if prices keep going up and up, Qatar will be the place to get OUT.

Sir, I might disagree with what you say, but I will defend to death your right to be an a$$hole.

By blackcat• 17 Jan 2007 15:56
blackcat

what does that suppose to mean: "I would hate to see were the lazy old people go"..

Who and What would you be without these "lazy old people???“. First of all, do not forget that "lazy old people" give you job and money!! Second of all, some of them look and feel much younger then “dynamic and young people”. So NO OFFENCE!!!!

I'll continue to be dynamic as long you don't try to kill me because of your fanatical believes.

I'll continue to be dynamic as long I got my friends around me.

I'll continue to be dynamic as long you mind your own F%^&NG BUSINESS.

I'll continue to be dynamic as long I don't have to pay for my villa and bills.

I'll continue to be dynamic as long my Internet connection works.

I'll continue to be dynamic as long gas prices are cheap.

and I'll continue to be dynamic as long you don't try to run me off the road.

Gypsy,

We don’t discuss now what is better. We are helping out "wanain02" with her presentation "Why Qatar is a beautiful place to be in". As for me, Toronto is better, but she doesn’t do presentation about Toronto. We help her to highlight positive things about Doha.
