New in Qatar

Hi everybody,
Even that I am here since April 06, it feels like I know nothing in Doha.
I would like to find people to hang out with, go camping or for a cup of coffee.
It's no fun to go out for dinner or to the movies on your own.
I used to live in Oman and was running with the MRR, so it was easy to make friends there, but here, I have not found a running club yet.
Please can I get some advise.

Thank you

Dweller, been to the Hash back in Muscat. You know what they say about the Hash? It's a drinking club with a running problem. But you are right and I am in touch with them, its an easy way to get to know people, unfortunatelly over here, there are about 6-8 people running the Hash, but its a start.

I believe that there is a strong "Hash" in Qatar.

Make enquiries and I am sure they will make you welcome.

Oh dear, I am a complete beginner at golf. Had lessons in May and in November, survived the Academic Course twice, need to do more hours on the driving range. But love the Golf Club as such, even just a drink at the bar.

I've been here only a month. I'm looking to meet some new friends too. I see you like golf, me too. When would you like to hit the links? I must warn you I'm not that good but love to play.
