FYI all work visas for Qatar are issued from a single post which is Doha. What matters is how strong the sponsor is or how much workload the guys in the deptt. have

Maybe even during the games. I have just got my visa through after 3 weeks. I think that it is quite quick based on other posts.

Well, although there is no well defined time period but it is a fact that Qatar is stretched with it's infrastructure during the games. Many of the basic amenities are haywire during this period. Say for e.g.: the taxi drivers have been put to drive games vehicles as a result there are no cabs on the roads or the Govt hospital has started refusing minor cases as their doctors are in the athlete's village etc etc.

Hence, wait for another 2 weeks & pray to God hoping things improve after the GAMES OF YOUR LIFE!!!!
