Dvargas: I have no idea, but I have a meeting with Cisco tomorrow and will ask them. E-mail me at [email protected] as we are out of topic here

I got a dumb question to ask you.

Do they have in Qatar Cisco Academy centers or testing centers?

Try carmenere. This grape is a chilean specialty. It is extinct in Europe since 19th century, and survived only there.

I got the paper work finish. I'm visiting that place tomorrow, Chilean Wines are great stuff. Any particular names for the chilean wines they sell in that place?

Enjoy, they have good (albeit small) selection of wines. Unfortunately the biggest one is Australian, and australian wine sucks big time. But there are excellent chilean and south african wines.

Finally, I got my residency I.D. for Qatar, Got to have the super-spirits license, to enjoy some real wine drinking, when I'm off and not driving.:"

I'll look forward to visit them for New Years Party. I have to wait for the x-mas work shift schedule. I'm hoping, I'm off that date.

Dvargas: Carnival is too much commercilaized nowdays (unless you go to Salvador), and most of brazilians watch it ...on the TV :)

Btw. you can go to a New Year party in Intercon. Last year it was fun (except for the food in Paloma). But if you want to do it call them now, they will be out of tickets very soon.

It's taken me two years to make good friends in Doha!!! Not lots, only very few, but good ones :)

With time you will meet some nice, like-minded people to celebrate chrismas or any other party with! Give yourself some time, don't be sad thinking of the friends you had to say goodbye to, be happy for the ones you will get to meet here!

By anonymous• 27 Nov 2006 22:18

At least you got your husband and kids. I'll bet lots of friends. I just got here. All my close friends are in Africa and the USA.

Xmas in DOha suxs.

But I've got used to being away from my family for Christmas, and here Christmas is nonexistent, so you have nothing to be depressed about!

Christmas day and New Years are just like any other day in DOha.

By anonymous• 27 Nov 2006 22:06

LOL, Is just a drift in of my thoughts of my traveling days. I'll bet this is going to be one lonely Christmas and New Years for me. Like always, I always get lonely and depress on those Holidays.

Now, something like THAT in Qatar is hoping too high, isn't it?

I visited Brazil during their carnival period and that was a hell of a party, eating, drinking and meeting some extraordinary people. I will never forget that place. Specially the parade, the music, the detailed costumes, I got over 1500 shots of rare, rarest and funny stuff from your homeland! Dammed I wish we had something like that in Qatar.

Yes, the racial mixture produces very interesting specimen. Like people with european traces, but darker skin (those who can be easily mistaken for indians) or blacks with red hair and green eyes.

And of course there are "original" whites or blacks or asians - only in Sao Paulo we have 4 million of japanese descendants, 3 million of Arab and not less than 7 of italian origin. In the south everyone is of German or Polish origin, and in the north there are places where people still speak yoruba - one of the african languages. And not less than one million of southerners from USA immigrated to Brazil after the Civil War.

For a better understanding have a look at a brazilian olympic team - you'll see the whole range. I mentioned immigration from the time when there was active immigration to Brazil (after WWII).

hmm actually after reading your post i realised asians esp indians usually mistake south americans to be asians.similar features, colour and ofcourse very beautiful.

by the way are u from brazil or someplace else setteld in brazil...since u mention immigration.

Han19: No, I will give you a boring lection.... first of all there is no typical Brazilian. Brazil is a multiethnic country, anybody can look Brazilian, depending on the region where they come from. Brazil had big arabic, japanese, german, italian and polish immigration. At the same time Brazil has biggest black population outside of Africa.

Apple: no, I borrowed it from Mujahid :)

This is getting beyond a joke all this susan cr** I said before some people here need therapy - lets not let the QL website be the forum for all this constant rubbish.

Otherwise maybe we all need to go to Qatar Blah Blah instead as this is ruining this website forum.

I agree with ESL Teacher - can you not block this mad man mujahid from the site - its about time as regulars are getting rather annoyed - its obvious.

It is hard to find someone who doesn't want to show up.

U know the phone number of Sheebu, why don't u send her sms msg? rather than posting here?

There is a saying: "If u love someone set her free, if she comes back then she is yours....."

Peace!
