Help required please...!

I have recently moved to Qatar on a work visa and am currently awaiting my Residency Permit, having completed the medical, fingerprinting, and blood group test etc.

My question is, can I leave Qatar to go overseas to Europe for a few days without having my RP? And if yes, will it cause a problem when I return to Doha?

People are giving me different information, so i'm not too sure who to believe at present! I am keen to make the trip, but obviously do not want to book a ticket and cause myself major problems by doing so!

Please advise of the correct procedure/rules! Thanks.

ps. I have a UK passport if that makes a difference.

Thanks. But will this cause a problem to the processing of my RP currently in progress? I've been told that I would have to start the process of applying for a visa and completing medicals etc again?

You will need a visa to re-enter but you can get it on arrival at the airport.
