"We can expect the simple Arab masses continuity to cling to terrorism, Perhaps out of ignorance or desperation or desire to uphold the psychological source of strength, even if illusory, or perhaps retaliation They know that it will not bring a solution, they originally supported it because they have lost faith in the possibility of a solution, If there is to be death, life is no longer valuable. Arabs at most are responsible for the lives of innocent victims. I’m not saying that the Arabs and Muslims do not condemn terrorism. They do denounce and condemn and reject. Unfortunately, they conclude it with a “but!

This opens the door to the ideological, political and religious justification. And gives terrorists moral & psychological excuse to lean on, particularly if supported by respected religious symbols"

I can't imagine people who buy this!

It's all in Arabic but click on the pictures.

I know Frank Gardner and respect him.

He's a real good guy who was let down by a region he truly liked and people he admired.

Sorry i couldn't find any good translater tool..

genesis I assume that your extract was also translated by google because it meant nothing to me.

I think though that he is still blaming the west in the phrase "letters of educational, religious and Gulf media that incite people to the other western items using aggressive" which I have interpreted to mean that the gulf media has incited people to behave in an aggressive western manner.

I may of course be wrong with that interpretation.

If you liked his opinion..you should check out Former dean of islamic department-Qatar university Abdel-Hamid Al-Ansari

here are some of his writing from qatari local news paper alwatan:

"Terrorism is a guide to the many young people in the Gulf Gulfides involved "but stresses that" even from the Gulf of those involved came as a result of the export of this extremist ideology. " He said Ansari, who raise a lot of controversial statements, what has happened and is happening is due to the "letters of educational, religious and Gulf media that incite people to the other western items using aggressive." It does not exclude that channel from the island accused of "disseminating inflammatory bids to host cross-religious symbols and ideological hardline" his words.

here is a link to a column he wrote " Jihad or terrorism? How distorted the "outsiders" new concept of Islamic Jihad"

http://www.asharqalawsat.com/leader.asp?section=3&issue=9270&article=228639

you can translate it by google..if you are interested.
