OK. I've been hearing about this in many posts. What is it? Where do we get it? Is it on-line or just hard copy? Do you recommend it for Expats? In short everything.
I think from what people have said its likely very useful. I did some work in Kyiv (or Kiev) a while back and there was a similar publicatin there which was very good.
Is one of the most useful publications I've found in Qatar. Besides the larger hypermarkets, I've also seen it available at the QDC and Al Jarir bookstore. The latest issue has a very useful guide to local restaurants. I have a GPS Navigator, but with all the construction, the map insert is a lifesaver.
Having only lived here for just over a month, I find that it's been invaluable in locating clubs and organizations to give my social life a kick start. ;) I should get paid for this glowing endorsement - LOL.
I will def recommend it for expats. It really helped us in the beginning. You get useful info.Has a nice "how do I.." section giving answers to questions like "how do you pay your water and lights, how do you get a landline, mobile phone or Internet connection. It also has a Health care section. Much more but like i said before a def must for expats i think!
Marhaba is a quarterly magazine that you can buy at any good supermarket. While the information in it isn't comprehensive it still does contain a wealth of information.
The sections are divided into Shopping, Tourism, Restaurants, Hotels, What to do, etc.
It costs QAR 20 and I find it a great resource to have around for anything from phone numbers one's likely to need to ideas on what to do.

It would just be good to see it. Probably there on-line advertising would make it worth while.
Its not online, but I'll suggest it to the creators of the mag! They are long time residents like me.
Angel.
Thank you. I appreciate the info. Is any of it on-line so I can look before I come?
