Offer but no conditions yet

My friend and I have been offered jobs to work in Qatar.  They are going to get back to me in a few days with the conditions.  We are both recent graduates and are going to work for a pipe company that supplies for gas drilling operations.

My question is, roughly speaking, what pay/allowences and conditions should we be hoping to get as this all came about by chance and I have no idea what to expect.  Should they cover things like medical insurance etc too?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

McSunny

ps. this forum is so great, i've found so much info/advice here that would have been near impossible to get otherwise.

Cheers

Hi all,

Thanks for all your replies...really helped.

Just got my conditions through. Basically its the following

4500 $US per month plus bonuses

accommodation provided

transportation provided

2 return tickets per year

Is the price of living and food etc expensive, any good restaurants etc too as I might be there in a month!

Cheers,

McSunny.

This link on qatarliving may give you an indication of salaries but I am not sure if it covers anything relating to new graduates.

Sorry my mistake...

in relation to the questions though, what is a average/good salary for a graduate relocating to Qatar on a permanent contract?

Its because your profile says that you are a teacher under 18.

Why is this a wind up?

Im not 17, Im 26 with 2 postgraduate degrees. I dont understand your post, I asked genuine questions. The job is as a QA with a company that makes pipe/tubing.

To anyone else who has anything serious to say, I would appreciate any info.

Thanks,

This has to be a wind-up!

Age 17, with a degree and occupation.....Teacher.

Claiming to have been offered a job with a pipeline company?
