A good chinese and indian food place we use regularly is Asiana which is near the airport. They do free deliveries and the quality of the food is good. Delivery time will always depend on where in Doha you are and at what time you have ordered.
Doha needs a delivery company that handles orders from places that don't offer home delivery. One of the places where I used to live had one so whether I wanted to order from McDonalds or a Chinese restaurant they did it. In addition to that they performed other services like getting phone recharge credits, photocopying... Now there's an idea for an enterprising Qatari.
I think that if you take a map showing where you live and your phone number to the "Caravan". It goes in their file and they give you a map number. Ordering then is a breeze, just give your map number, name and they confirm it by asking for your phone number.
For delivery of chinese and indian, caravan is ok. Again, once they find your address once, reorders are easy. The quality of food is somewhat mediocre though. Best left for a slap up meal after a night out. ;)
Nandos is my fav for delivery... guys are usually fast and don't have to give your address every time, they feed it in the system and next time you call, just give them your mobile number and they know where to deliver.

I've had Nando's before...great chicken. I wonder if they would deliver all the way out at the Al-Faisaliya compound....
