jj2007, this stuff is common knowledge. I'm sure the Iranians already know where the air force bases are in Doha and where the lab technicians sleep. It's not exactly classified information.

Do you guys have any sense of security? Any information you give over this website can be read by anyone who has an internet connection. I know I don't feel comfortable about the Iranian government being able to do a google search to find out where I sleep. Please for the love of God do not share information like this.

Alphabravo,

You must have received an offer from the contractor, what is it? This is a big cycle, as the contractor will charge base x amount of money for the job, the contractor may also be a sub contractor to some one else, get my drift.

AL Udeid, is a large site, you will need to confirm with the contractor where you will be staying. The guys in the tent are most likely american service personnel.

I think third country nationals (TCN) if located on the base have to be escorted by an american authorised to escort, so your site may be not actually on base but next to it, like an extension.

Regards

I highly doubt you will be living on the base. Most contractors will be housed in private or shared villas. I will be working at Camp As-Sayliyah as a contractor and my company provides a shared villa. As far as compensation it really depends on the position you are taking...a Lab technician should be making a pretty good amount of money, all contracts are different though. What company will you be with?

Alphabravo,

You need to check with the Contractor what your privileges on the base will be? It is a secure area and there are restrictions.

Hello Alphabravo,

Are you sure you are going to live at the base?
