Got to give it to you Joe, i certainly couldn't have put it any better (and didn't)
Must say a Child's life is too high a cost though, any life should be very rare in construction let alone 3 children in about a year from the same incident.
Safety and security and all such fancy names are there in the books which are locked up with the HR dept. and meant to be shown to the auditors but the guys who really need to be taught this practices get nowhere near to learning this safe working practices.
It is impossible to fathom what the parents are thinking,All I can say is I hope that they find a way of dealing with this.
I have seen Construction safety getting better in the middle east but it's still at a stage where the HSE in the UK would have a heart attack merely trying to imagine the standards that we witness all to often over here.
Slowly I hope that the culture changes to focus on the safety of everyone who may have to be or are accidentally too close to or on Construction sites.
That is one leap forward most M.E. Countries could take but sometimes I wonder if they either do not think about it or perhaps the protection costs :(
What must the family be going through. I hope they find the courage to bear their loss and may the little tyke rest in peace..
