Is is sufficient to live on?

Hello,

I just had an offer for an engineering position and need to answer soon.

They offer 14500 QAR and accommodation allowances plus travelling allowances.

The gentleman for HR was not able to give me a figure yet on the last two as he said he need to get back to me on that and then I can decide if I will accept the offer.

My question is, if I sending 3000 QAR back home, will the remaining be sufficient to live on?

See detailed answer to this question. Somewhere there is costs for single person too. This will also tell you how much you should negotiate for accommodation and transport!

If accommodation allowance is provided, you can easily live with the balance that is 11000 riyals. then again it depends on if you are single or family (no. of members).
