US has played another card!! They have revoked Snowden's passport( for no justified reason) that makes his travels illegal. US is now trying to come up with an argument that any country that allows a person to travel without a valid passport status, is not following international protocol.

There are chances that he may finally proceed to Equador.

Hong Kong took the right stand and did not bow down to the great hypocrisy that the American democracy is. HK and its people deserve the support of all free thinking people around the world to stand against tyrants like the USA

What if Snowden & Assange have some terrorist links? Something tells me that these people are no angels & big money & powers are behind all this. Had it been done by a 'nobody', he would have landed on the electric chair by now.

Hong Kong Executive Council member Regina Ip said authorities can arrest Snowden if his actions qualify as a crime under Hong Kong law, China's state-run Xinhua news agency reported early Sunday.

But if his actions are deemed to be political charges, she told Xinhua, then Snowden will not be extradited.

"We will work under the framework of Hong Kong law, and won't allow any illegal or unfair judgment," Hong Kong Secretary of Justice Rimsky Yuen told Xinhua.

There wont be any world war until China involves...Gene China is not a little Jonny anymore...Considering the economy and business ties China has huge influence on Hong Kong than US.

China will never overtly stand up to the USA. It's not their style. However, they may influence Hong Kong in the decisions it makes.

Are you implying China is a little power on the world stage? Have you been asleep the last 20 odd years?

China is also a bully as what they are doing in the Philippines and if they will not stand up, it only shows that they are afraid of the US.

I guess everyone is waiting for China to take a stand...but again they have always shown their indifference to such issues unless they are involved in it themselves.

They dont only bully little one, they bully almost everyone.. I read somewhere that Snowden would probably will fly to Iceland.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Hong Kong has an extradition treaty with the USA. However, the process could be dragged out if China wished it.

They will probably allow Snowden to issue a few more exposes before sending him back.
