Compound apartment "nearby" Al Rayyan
Hi,
I just arrived in Doha and I'm now looking for accomodation for our family, so that everything can be ready when family arrives mid August.
I'm looking for good reputation compound with good facilities for the kids in particular. Kids pool, playground etc. and preferably some sport facilities besides the gym.
Kids will go to school at Compass Rayyan near Race Horse Roundabout, so due to distance to school, areas of interest are primarily Al Rayyan/Muraikh/Muaither/Al Aziziya/Al Waab. Budget is around 14k, so we prioritise good facilities over squaremeters, as we know it might not be enough for a large villa in good compound. We've seen an apartment in Beverly Hills Al Rayyan, which was nice, but unfortunately only fully furnished (own furniture is already shipped and on the way..)
Please share your extensive knowledge :-) Any good compounds in the areas with 3BR apartments or villa within budget? Maybe you even know about availability?

Not very well so far. Its difficult to fullfill everything on the wishlist :-). Ill be back on the roads in the areas looking this weekend. Really could use some inputs from the forum :-)
Cheers,
Ken
How has been your compound hunting going?
Thanks for sharing your experience Dane33. My company will be providing location agency services to help me settle in. I hope to also be provided with similar option to settle my kids.
Schooling really is a challenge. We tried to ask almost every international school, but by the end of the day we only received positive response from CIS through company guaranteed places and then ACS for our oldest (7y).
It should be said though that some school have requirements for the kids english skills, and since our kids does not yet speak english very well, we didnt go further with these.
Wish you the best of luck - I hope your company can be of some assistance.
